The annual Green Home Tour is a free, self-guided event that enables potential homebuyers and other interested individuals to examine a variety of green building features in homes of all price ranges and styles. 

We're pleased to announce that the 4th Annual Green Home Tour will feature 36 entries in six counties!  The tour has been expanded to two weekends:  Apr 25 and 26 and May 2 & 3.  As usual, the tour will include a wide variety of homes in all styles and price points -- ranging from Habitat and entry-level homes to luxury custom entries.  One of the entries is currently under construction at the Streets of Southpoint, so be sure to take a look during your next shopping trip.   

All entries are enrolled in the certification program operated by the Green Home Builders of the Triangle (GHBT), and all entries have demonstrated the ability to reach at least the bronze level of certification upon completion.  Some of the homes on the tour will be only partially finished so that tour attendees can see the technical green features that would otherwise be hidden behind the walls. 

The GHBT Marketing committee, under the capable direction of Darcia Black, is planning two public kickoff events.  Green building information and free tour guidebooks will be available at these events and also at many outlets across the Triangle.
