HealthyHouse was a home designed, built and trademarked by Rufty Custom Built Homes to demonstrate construction methods and materials that would create a "better" living environment for the homeowners and would help protect the environment. This Rufty "project home" was one of the first of its kind to be built nationally and involved the efforts and participation of many national companies and private organizations. The results of this home and the involved studies have contributed to home design and construction modifications across the country. Participating Organizations: EPA, NASA, USDA, National Association of Home Builders Research Center, American Lung Association Participating Companies: CP&L, Honeywell, Dura Supreme Cabinets, Hurd Windows, Advanced Energy Corporation (AEC), Dupont, Research Products.
